Moreover, these marathons boast a rich cultural history, allowing runners to immerse themselves in the heritage of each city as they conquer the marathon challenge. Organising quality marathons is a top priority for each event, and we are proud to announce that all the marathons in our league are licensed by the AIMS association, ensuring the highest standards of excellence.

For those who want to take their Mediterranean journey further, we introduced the Grand Slam Medal — an exclusive, specially designed medal awarded to runners who complete all four TUI MML events. Any distance counts, and there is no time limit. It is the ultimate tribute to the four cities, the four cultures, and the one community that connects them all.

At the heart of our initiative lies the spirit of collaboration and exchange. The Mediterranean cities share cultural convergences, making it natural for us to foster a relationship based on friendship and the exchange of common experiences. We aim to promote the exchange of professional expertise in managing marathon events, as well as encompassing technical, tourism, and marketing aspects.

Our ultimate goal is to propel tourism through marathons, offering a compelling alternative to the traditional major marathons — and thereby improving on the investment made into sports tourism from local authorities and boards.

In addition, we actively seek commercial partners interested in supporting the Mediterranean area and its vibrant marathon events. The league engages in common promotion at expos and through the advertising materials of each marathon, further elevating the profile of these fantastic races.
